200+MPH Hayabusa Nitrous Install |
|||
This install is from our friends at http://heavybusracing.com/ . Marie is an official member of the 200MPH club at the Texas Mile. The Suzuki Hayabusa is no joke to begin with, but to achieve a standing mile speed over 200MPH it still needs help. As Marie would say, "Look it's CHRISTMAS! And it came early! Huge box of goodies from my good friends at Nitrous Express! |

What she received is our 4 Cylinder Sport Bike system PN:60005P, and our 2 Dial Progressive Controller PN:15835P. A few basic tools. Remember when you start monkeying around inside the Motor cleanliness is next to Godliness. Serious keep all of your tools hands etc etc very clean because you don't want debris in your motor. |

| The solenoids are connected directly to the 4 port showerheads. Use of supplied NX thread sealer on all pipe fittings is a must. Also, be sure and install the supplied filter fitting in the INLET of the nitrous solenoid to prevent any trash from entering. | |||

After all fittings were secured, a test fit of the showerhead to nozzle connections were made. |

Here is a shot of what the intake runner looked like BEFORE the nozzle install. |

To drill the intake runners the motor was turned till valves were closed then a grease coated rag with a wire through it was pushed into the intake. Next more grease and then Measure location, drill and tap. Take it very slowly and measure everything twice because there is no room for error here. |

Back the tap out wipe out as much grease as possible then use a pair of pliers to slowly remove the rag. Everything should come out almost squeaky clean with very little mess to clean up. Blow out with an air hose to make sure there is not anything down in the valve area. |

In order to make the installation as smooth as possible, the fuel line, pump, solenoids and hoses were all reconnected for one final test fit. |

| A test fit of the nozzle to ensure it screws completely in and there is still room for nitrous and fuel lines to connect. | |||

| Here Marie is laying out the system as it would install in the bike. | |||

This is what things look like test assembled. This is NOT the final position for the showerheads but this picture does show the lines and all of the fittings pretty well. |

This shows where everything is going to be with the solenoids out of sight to the left and the showerHeads barely visible on the left. I really didn't think it was all going to fit! |

Fuel line Fuel Filter and Fuel pump. Fuel pump is wrapped in closed cell foam to protect it from heat and vibration. As you can see it's nestled very nicely in the valley on top of the Engine case above the transmission |

This shows the basic location of the Micro switch which needed a small bracket fabbed up. Also notice how much slack was in Marie's throttle cable. |

Here Marie is finishing up the wiring. |

The compartment just behind the rider was a great space to mout the 2 Dial Progressive along with the Dynojet Power Commander. |
